- Use Macro on clean newly created file by you to read take the only two files in the root folder of this macro workbook (one is excel, one is CSV, file names can change) and do the following:
- Take the ".xlsx" file and find them in the ".csv" file.
- Copy and carry over to the new workbook all the field sets for both files and show them on the same record. ".csv" file first, then ".xlsx" next to, with one line inbetween the two.
- If on the CSV, more than one "Defect Found" is present (indicated by a ";") the macro will put one defect in each column and name the column header "Defect 1, Defect 2" etc.
- If no defect is found on eaither page, then "NONE" will be inserted instead of the null value currently present.
- In ".xlsx" file, "Passed" will be converted to "Pass".
- Export to "Export" folder within root folder.
Basically, there will be three files within a root folder and a folder called "Export". One will be a csv and the other will be an excel file and one will be the newly created macro you're creating. We will open the macro file and hit a button to process on the main sheet. The macro will take the csv and excel file and take values from the excel file "Receiving Tag Numbers" and look them up in the csv file. If found, will copy the entire contents of the record from both files and export them to the newly created file in the "Export" folder as a csv/excel file so the unique "Receiving Tag Numbers" information is all location on the same record. "
