I have to take a beginners test Fri Noon at a temp agency/ I know almost nothing about excel. Pleeease tell me 5 things I should be able to do to show I know SOMEthing about Excel. (i,e using keys for entering data--do I highlight the cell first?) Gawd . . . Thanks! J.

One problem I encountered about three years ago when taking these tests for a temp agency is that the test will only accept one solution. Thus, even if you learn a short-cut that is faster/more efficient, if the person writing the test did not realize that there are others ways to accomplsih the same task, you will get it "wrong."
:oOh well, I now have a permanent job as a senior analyst - they don't care how I get the answer, only that I get it. :guitar:

Seems to me the easiest thing to do in excel is hit the litlle cross in the top right hand corner and head for the pub.
