problem opening Huge XLs file

Hi all

About 10,000 row and 30 column huge file xls (full of formulas and macros)

the problem is Excle can not open it........why?

any hints is appreciated

More details of the scenario would be good here such as:

How big (in kb/mb) is the file ?

What OS ?

What XL/Office version ?

How much RAM?

I have opened files in XS of 40mb ....

10,000 row x 30 column not that big... unless they're all array formulas or such like
