VBA Macro: How to open an Excel file and save as another Excel file in Word ?

    Hi, I want to write a VBA macro in Word that open an Excel file, save that Excel file to another file (to another name), and then clear all content of the original Excel file. How to do that? Thanks!

    If your description is accurate, why don't you simply copy the file to the new name/location and delete the source file...?

    Hi, I want to automate a daily routine process. In Word file (as a letter template) there will be code to do mail merge and call Excel as a source file which users input all the daily data there. After running the marco, the Excel file will be saved as a new file to keep those daily data as record, and the original Excel file will then be cleared the content for the next day use.
