Strange effect of countif

All the cells are set as text
Have a sheet with the values of 01 and 08 in a cell
On this sheet i have a column with values 01.10.00 and 08.00
With formula on the sheet countif(Q:Q,cells(2,6)) the result are:
for 01 it is 0
for 08 it is 0
what is correct
With vba n=countif(Q:Q,cells(2,6)) the result are:
for 01 it is 0
for 08 it is 1
what do i wrong ?
