  • Is this what you mean?

    • Open Excel
    • On the default workbook
    • click "File" in Ribbon
    • Select "Options"
    • Select "Advanced"
    • Scroll down to "Display" section
    • Under "Default Direction" select "Right-to-Left" option
    • Click "OK"
    • Click File on Ribbon again
    • Click "New"
    • The new workbook that opens will have columns reading from right to left.

You will need to do the steps again and select Option "Left-to-Right" after saving and closing the new workbook.

When you re-open the new workbook it should show columns right to left automatically.

  • You're welcome.

I remember it taking me ages to find the way to do it first time I needed to.

When you have columns reading from right-to-left then scripts that are written right to left (e.g. Hebrew and Arabic) text will automatically get entered right to left in a cell.
