How to run my spreadsheets from the Internet?

I have spreadsheets that from time to time perform automatic tasks. The point is that the computer is not always turned on.
How do I have them running off my computer, ie in a virtual machine on the Internet?
From what I took a look, it looks like Google Cloud does this, but I do not understand it.
