  • Hello, my name is Amy.

I am working on Excel and I want to have check boxes. I have figured out how to add check boxes, but I want to be able to print any variation of check boxes that I select. My list will be like a thousand words long so when someone checks the boxes they want, they can print the cell that coordinates with the check box. Not sure if this is something anybody could do, but let me know. Also, I also want to have a search bar put on the excel page so that someone can search for a specific word anywhere in the excel document. Considering it will be a thousand words long, it will make it a little easier if you know what you are looking for. We are putting body parts and stuff like that one it. (Eyes, Head, Ears, Mouth, Arms, Legs, Toes, Fingers) Along with the veins, nerves, and muscles.

  • Ctrl+F will load the search function.

A 1000+ CheckBoxes will be hard to manage and will not do what you want. Add a column and use Data Validation list to give the user the choice of Y or N. Then you can filter the Rows for Y and print what is filtered.

Add data validation to a cell or a range

    1. Select one or more cells to validate.
    2. On the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click Data Validation.
    3. On the Settings tab, in the Allow box, select List.
    4. In the Source box, type your list values, separated by commas, e.g. Y,N
    5. Make sure that the In-cell dropdown check box is selected.
