writing in a cell containing formula without deleting the formula ???

I need help . i am using a workbook that containing the next situation :

in cell A1 i'm writing date of birth and in cell A2 the result is the age. so far so good.

now i can write any thing i want in cell A2 ( like number and than press enter ) and yet - use cell A1 again by writing date of birth and in cell A2 the result is the age...

To answer your question ...

There is no way to ' combine ' an input into a cell while keeping the formula which is already in the cell ...

Attached is a test file with a macro proposal to have the maximum flexibility ...

B1 to B2

C1 to C2

and so on.
