VALIDATING THE SUM OF THE TABLE IN EXCEL….

  • In excel am having table and I need to validate the sum of the table by inserting a row at the end of the table and calculating sum excluding the above row to the inserted once, because that row is sum of the above all items and highlight with any color if the sum is exactly matched with the above one and highlight with any other color if sum is not matched.


    Amounts are always presented in numbers [ “ 0-9” ] Comma [“ , ”] Space [ “ ”] Dot [“.”] If anything presented other this formats it should highlight that cell….


    Please anyone automate this using VBA am very thankful to them and please suggest or modify my requirements at their best.


    My objective is to validate the sum of the above items and highlight which is not in the above-specified formats…

    1. Do you need a macro to generate the Totals ... in Row 6 and in Row 15 ?


    2. Why would you need a macro to check cell formats ...???


    3. What is your actual final objective ...?


    4. Can you amend your Test to show the Final Result which you expect ...?

    Is your range A11:E16 showing the results you are expecting after the ' Auditing ' performed on your range A2.E7 ...???

  • Am getting a blur documents and having minimum 50 to 60 tables and i need to valiate the sum of the tables and due to blurness in the documents values are not as same in the original PDF so we need to check each and every table manually.


    Sometimes 1 is translated as ! and eight is translated as & so manually checking all this items manually taking more time.


    Right now am doing copying the tables from word to excel and inserting sum at the end of the table and highlighting duplicates through conditinal formatting and if it is not highlighted i need to go manually by the original PDF and make necessary corrections and make it as same in the PDF.


    Actually values in the tables are in this format only (numbers and units are in either Comma " , " Dot " . " , Single Space " " )if anything presented otherthan this in the highlighted it wll easily rectified and save the time by checking only highlighted ones....
