how do you add data at the top of a table without adding a new row. then every entry after fills in on the first empty row.
note: currently i have formulas in each row so techinically no row is empty?

does this add a new row every time
Yes ... this macro inserts a row ...
By the way ... adding data without adding a row ... should require some kind of Unique Identifier in order to properly match the updated data with the correct record ...
Similarly to your other question, attaching a sample file would be of great help ...
Sorry I am working on so much. should have read the forum rules fully. I am very new to this.
thank you for all your help and input
You are using a proper Table so you don't need all those unused formulas.
by unused are you speaking about the formulas in the status and total cost columns
I have a meeting now but I'll post back later with your amended userform
much appreciated
Hello again,
Could you clarify what your expected result is ...???
And what is the actual difference between this question and the one you have posted in your other thread ...
i have taken and used your original code. i am waiting to hear back from royUK as he was going to modify my User form.
my intentions was to have my table be extended out as it is in the example I posted earlier, but it seems there is is no need.
i didn't know earlier that my formulas would also populate with the new row.
I've been in a meeting all afternoon.
I know what you want to do and will get some code for you as soon as I can.
There's something wrong with your parts sheet. I've added a new sheet and code to populate the new table.
The code works perfectly in the new sheet but not your existing sheet.. Have a look and let me know if it's what you mean, if it is I'll add some instructions
I'll have a proper look tomorrow to see if I can find the problem with your sheet. The new sheet just needs the formulas adding.
The rest of your userform code needs checking and I'll try to look at that tomorrow as well.
thank you i can work with that.
how do i set this as resolved?
got it
