I need to calculate the area of flow in an open channel. I have the channel geometry as (x,y). I also have some predefined level up-to which i want to calculate the area. Say for y=11 what will be the area bounded by the channel and y=11 line.
Things are getting complicated as i have to find the intersection point between the channel and fixed horizontal line and when the channel have spikes within. If anyone can supply any excel sheet to calculate such problem, I will be really grateful.
