Countifs formula to only count 'Last month'

Hi, this is similar to my previous request except now I only want to count 'Last month' by referencing a cell with the mmm:yy date in it. I have attached a file, cheers.

Hi royUK, last week I wanted everything counted prior to last month.....now I only want data counted during last month. I thought I could tweak your formula, but I can't get it to work.

Try this

=COUNTIFS(Table1[Response Received],"Yes",Table1[Notice Remedy Date],">=" &$E$1,Table1[Notice Remedy Date],"<=" &EOMONTH($E$1,0))
