I want to graph temperature and the number of times doors are open on a refrigerator together with average temperatures but unsure whether I need a line or XY scatter graph. Here's the reason, in the attached file I've prepared both line & scatter but what I want is a uniform time line from the start to the end so from 4am to 6pm according to the first and last recording but what I want to show in the timeline axis is a fixed window from 4am to 6pm in intervals of hours so that any activity is shown in the relevant time line as a posed to the actual time it took place.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated
I wondered if it related to the time format that had the date present also but wasnt sure, I also see you note 'Excel 2010 XY chart' but I guess with the formatting this can be done in Excel 2007?
