Hello all,
My first post, not used to forums so I hope I'm in the right place*... thanks in advance for any help.
Short version of my question:
I need a formula which essentially says 'turn Cell red if user types an incorrect answer, do not format if cell is empty/has no contents'
Explanation.
I have a fixed list in Column A of worksheet two. I would like user to be able to start typing a list in column B of worksheet one. When the user is correct, cell turns green, when the user is incorrect cell turns red, before the user has typed or entered anything the cell is not formatted.
I have 3 formulas or conditions in place however I can see that two of them conflict and I don't know how to fix. Red and white/not formatted conflict because I am asking it to format when the cell contents don't match what is in the fixed list and an empty cell doesn't match what is in the fixed list.
RED: =IF(B3<>Sheet2!A3,TRUE,FALSE)
GREEN: =IF(B3=Sheet2!A3,TRUE,FALSE)
WHITE: =ISBLANK(B3)=TRUE
Hope I am making some kind of sense, thanks in advance for any help!
