$100 to change VB script to create a multi stacked waterfall chart - OPEN !

    Hi Wigi -

I'm not sure what the best possible method would be. However, maybe instead of having 2 sheets or multiple sheets (if one were to have 3-4 data sets) we could just have one sheet where the user could use a drop down to select how many data sets he has. Then based upon how many data sets there are the file would then create multiple ranges as seen in B2:R25 to insert the data for each data set.

Take for example I wanted to graph 3 data sets -

1)I would select a drop down to let the file know i have 3 data sets.
    2) I would enter each set of data in the respective tables
    3) Hit a button to run a macro that would create 4 graphs - 1 graph for each data of the 3 data sets PLUS and all inclusive aggregated graph.

    Does this make sense?

    I see what you mean.
And all 3 data sets will then have the same number of values on the horizontal axis (8 in the Excel file that you sent along).

In the file I sent over - 8 is the number of values. However if you look in cell C5 you will note that there is a function to state what the last row is. This was built there in case that number got smaller or lower determining on how many rows we wanted graphed.

I agree, but that choice is the same for each of the 3 charts then, I presume?

    Hello

Unfortunately, I will have to hand in the challenge again. Today I had the time, but not tomorrow anymore.
What is also the case, VBA when it comes to charting is not my forte. I think that there might be other developers that can do this job more easily.

Attached my latest version, also I added VBA-code.

HI SNB - I just ran it...don't think it does what I was expecting. Your script forces all the column to the horizontal access from what i can see....

Not sure if Hoowzer is still looking for a solution. But just for the sake of asking, is the current layout of data absolutely critical? Or is the representation of chart that's the actual need?
