Display (filter) rows depending on multiple text conditions in multiple columns

  • Hi

I am tracking the number of days worked by my part-timers in each of my events I am organising for some clients. These events are described in my excel table as a text with the destination of the event (Paris, London, Barcelona etc) and the name of the client (Nokia, BMW, etc)

I would like to be able when I am organising a new event to display all the names of my part timers who worked on 1 specific destination, or 1 specific client.

for example I want to know all part-timers who worked already for me in London events
or all part-timers who worked who worked already for me for Nokia events

Sorry I tried but the condition is on one part of the text of each colomn, so I do not know how to do.
And my requests are different each time = sometimes I want to see all employees ith London as a condition across all colomns, sometimes I want Nokia etc, so I need a easy way to set up the filter each time.
Can you help me or am i making it too complicated?
    Thanks

From what i can see from your first post you should be able to do this with AdvancedFilter but to help further I would need to see an example workbook

Hi Roy, thanks so much for your support.
I already put an example of the worksheet I have in my first post. This is obviously a simplified one just for the example, my actual worksheet is much bigger.
I understand I could use the Advanced Filter option if the data in cells C2:H5 would include the different values I am looking for. But the data in c2:H5 are actually the number of days worked for each event.
What I want is to continue to keep track of the days worked for each event, but when I need I would like to do some filter to be able to display all names of part-timers who have attended one destination of one event. But the only way to do this is to look at the label in the header c1:H1 and check if the cell for each people is not bank or zero. But the difficulty is that this test is on a part of the label, and the test needs to be done on each column.

I am attaching the worksheet so that you can understand.
    Hope I am clear
    Thanks again for helping
