Hi there. I just migrated from Excel 2007 to 2013. In 2013, the graphs are plotting my #N/A values ( using =NA() ). 2007 automatically ignored these. How do I get my graph to ignore #N/A?

Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
Bump. Anyone have any ideas?
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
Hi jjsande1492
there is an inconsistency in Excel 2007 and 2010 charts
few work arounds one use something like
IF(ISNA(AA7),"",V7) to remove the na
or your data probably is a range and returns ={30/06/14,#N/A,#N/A} so point your graph series to a named range so Excel plots this as {30/06/14,0,0}.
all hard to say when you only post a picture and not a workbook
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
It's not plotting them (there is no blue line there) but it is showing them on the axis. Very hard to say why, as Pike mentioned, based on a picture rather than a workbook.
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
Thanks for your input. I figured I was simply missing something minor and wouldn't require the workbook. Long story short, I need to reference a static range of cells and have the graph omit (both values and labels) instances of #N/A. Excel 2007 did this without any special workarounds.

JJ
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
Hi
Change the chart type to xy scattered line with no pointers ..
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
As Pike said, it's the chart type. Excel 2007 shows that chart exactly the same way as 2013.
Re: Excel 2013 graph is showing #N/A?
Thanks, guys. Changing to a scatter works, but I was hoping there was a way to get the line graphs to work. I'm 100% positive that I did similar things in Excel 2007 and it never gave me this problem. For now, this will have to work. Thank you.

rorys signature block explains it all..... your becoming a programmer

Theory is when you know something, but it doesn’t work. Practice is when something works, but you don’t know why. Programmers combine theory and practice: nothing works and they don’t know why

Hi
I had the same problem when I created a line chart. The #N/As were being plotted as zeros. But on my colleagues PC they were not being plotted at all. She is on excel 2010, I am using Excel 2016.
There is a 'feature' in Excel 2016 where you can choose what to do with empty cells and #N/A. The link below shows the solution. In case the link disappears, you go to 'Select Data' and there is a button for Empty / Hidden Cells.
