Creating a numberline

I was helping my daughter with her math home work and was trying to create a numberline using Excel. I can do a basic number line manually but not a very good example does anybody have any ideas I'm open for anything. I was starting to write code but really unsure how to start. THis began as a simple explanation of negative numbers. I'll continue thanks in advance.

HI,

I'm not sure if I understand what you are after, but perhaps something like the chart in the attached???

Change the values in cells D2 and E2 (if I remember correctly) to change the size (end to end of the line) and the middle location. (11 in E2 centers the lineon zero.)

thanks

this gets me started. what I was trying to do was create 2 options addition and subtraction. I was trying to get which would allow you to either add or subtract number and then depict a chart to help show what it means. I may be asking for too much. THanks alot and I'll keep charging.
