    Hi kennethbrandon -

For the conditional formatting, highlight cell H8 and make your conditional format formula read:

    =$D8<>""

and then drag down the formatting.

For the Total Annual Leave (column AM), this formula works for me:

    =IF(SUM(AK8-AL8)=0,"",SUM(AK8-AL8))

    Hope that helps!

    Hi abba92,
Thank you very much for sharing with me.
The Total sum for column AM works perfectly! I have used your formula for Conditional Formating but it does'nt work when the week end "Sunday" and Year changes. Is there any other alternatives besides =$D8<>""? Thanks again.

Hi kennethbrandon - Highlight E7:AI52 (with E7 as the active cell) and conditional format using the formula:

    =WEEKDAY(E$7,2)>6
