I see no PDF file names or hyperlinks in that file - please tell me which cells to look at.

for example this, i filter all the mechanical. in the column C i have an RFI number, and that RFI number is have a corresponding pdf. file, i didn't attach the pdf file because its big MB, that pdf. file is the same name in excel. and that is many with different RFI number and PDF doc.

OK - I see now. What I would do is copy that column of PDF names to a second sheet, and then in column B drag down this formula:

    =HYPERLINK("Mechanical\Erection"&A1&".pdf",A1)

You can then copy your links back into the column required.

    Hope this helps!

I can't read the screenshot, sorry, but it looks like you missed one of the speech marks ("). Or maybe there's a trailing space in the cell? Check after the final bracket (brace) that there isn't a space.

You will need to change the file location to whatever is correct (I was using what was in your attachment) before dragging down.

You have obviously done something wrong - please attach your file and I'll fix it for you. My formula, if used correctly, will give just the name as the link.

You missed the last bit of the formula. Use this and copy down:

    =HYPERLINK("C:\Users\heral\Desktop\Mechanical\Erection"&A1&".pdf",A1)

Why did you edit the last portion of the formula I gave you???

It does not give me an error. See attached!

By the way, the occasional "Thank you, but ..." would not go amiss.
