    On the ribbon go to the Insert tab, then the second icon will be to insert a Table, click that and define the range for the Table.


    If you have an existing manual table you can highlight (select) it, go to Insert & Table and the manual table will be converted to a Excel built-in Table.


    Once the Table is created there will be a "Design" ribbon tab whenever you select a cell within the Table, under that tab you can modify the design of the table.


    If you Google "Excel Tables" you will find a mass of site dealing with how to use Excel Tables. Getting to know how to use them, and formulas within them is well worth it!
