You are a genius Carim!! :music:

I am still unsure what modifications are needed. I know I demonstrated this to the teams that will use it and they were super excited!!

Hopefully they will let me know and then I can ask you again. If you ever move to England please let me know and you can come and work with me!! :)

    You are the BEST!! :)

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked

    Donna,

    Thanks for the Music ....

Please find attached what you call the Combined version ... with added risks (in red...) ...

Hope your colleagues will be enjoying an "easier-to-use" worksheet ...

    Cheers

P.S. Please note that ... Inserting Rows such as the Blank row 8 ... or any "Mark" row for a new risk ... will disrupt all the calculations ...

    Hi Carim,

That is fabulous!! :) I only have one very final question (I bet my questions are very frustrating!!)

How do I set the report so that if 8.1 (for example) on the Site Specific worksheet only shows point 8.1 on worksheet 8 (instead of 8.1 through to 8.3 for example)?

    :) :) :)

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked

    Hello Donna,

Glad the "Combined" version is now operational ...

The question you are asking is very interesting ... and indeed it should be a requirement of yours ... (sadly, I did not think about it in the draft version...)

It does require some programming ... since, it is quite obvious, you would need this feature throughout the entire workbook .... 8-)

The trouble is that, I knew, right from the beginning, that your appetite for perfection could easily be ...infinite ...

Let me take a look ...

    Hello Donna,

In order to move forward ... there is a need for framing things ... and being consistent ...

Especially with the objective to hide automatically items not marked ...

All the "red" rows had strange hyperlinks ...

So all hyperlinks have been deleted ... and re-created to jump to the appropriate row ...

Another issue... for example, all Columns A have to in Text format ... and filled-in with the same logic ...

i.e. almost all Sheets have inputs on each row like 7.1a, 7.1b, 7.1c , etc ...which is OK .... but there are several exceptions like Sheets 3,6,10,12 ...

In addition, exceptions like row 6 in Sheet3 is empty ... guess you intended to double 3.1a which will cause problems ...

So, could you please review the attached version 2 ... in which a macro has corrected the majority of the inconsistencies ...

Keep in mind, for a program to be fully automatic ... rules have to be clearly identifiable ...

    Cheers

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked

    Hello Donna,

Have spotted and corrected a series of inconsistencies with blank rows, errors in numbering, risks items copied from another sheet, etc...

Therefore, could you kindly Validate all Risk sheets as well as the master one ...?

The attached "cleaned" version should become our starting point ...

Will only dive into the programming ... after getting your stamp ...

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked

    Hello Donna,

Attached is the Version 3 ... which includes the hiding of all Not-selected risks within their respective worksheets ...

Basically only Marked X Risks will remain visible ... once you have asked for "Prepare Report" ...

Obviously Reset will get you back to the initial situation ...

    Hope this will help

    Hello Lovely Carim,

Sorry I have not responded I have been meaning to for a long time but work has been crazy busy!!

The final worksheet you sent is NEAR PERFECT!! :saychees: The ONLY thing that does not work is clauses 9.13 and 9.14. If you select 9.13 on the master page (first page) it pulls through the headings of 9.13 and 9.14 but not the risks, and if you select 9.14 on the master page, it only pulls through the title.

I have tried to fix it but as you can probably tell - my skills in Excel are limited to merging cells and adding borders. If you could fix this final thing you will be the greatest person in the world and I will have to do a little dance with excitement!!

Hope you are well and thanks again 10,000 times for all the help you have given me! x

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked

Thanks for your message ... !!!

As soon as I have a moment, and for the pleasure to see you dancing ... ... I will look into the bugs for clauses 9.13 and 9.14 ...

By the way, you can add borders as much as you want .... BUT ... please NEVER use Merged cells ... !!! ... and use Center Across Columns :

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Select the range of cells over which you want to center text.
    2. Right-click the selected cells, and then click Format Cells.
    3. Click the Alignment tab.
    4. In the Horizontal list, click Center Across Selection.
    5. Click OK

    Cheers

    Hello Donna,

Just to confirm the two clauses 9.13 and 9.14 had their original numbering mixed up ...:?

Attached is the Version 4 with the required corrections for both items ...

Hope this will be in line with your expectations ...

  • Re: Move cell data to another worksheet dependent on checkbox being ticked
