Re: Table Creation - £20 gbp
Hi, the repetition of the function no longer happens if the SKU is already in output so that's great.
The overtyping still does not carry through though and it is only creating the new SKUs for one channel?

Updated version attached for this.

For new records that you create, it will be fine. For existing records, they will not change as you already pasted them as values.
New records from now on (since the last version in fact) are pasted as a link to the original cells on the Control sheet.
So if one of the source cells changes, the cells oin the output sheet will change too.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
My previous post was edited, apologies, the quoted text was not correct.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Maybe I am doing something wrong - if I push the add SKU button on the attached my latest entry 'donkey' does not carry over to output- could be unrelated but when I open it I get this message 'method 'interactive' of object '_application' failed' - see if the button works for you
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Strange. Let me upload it again, maybe the macro attached to the shape was somehow lost when transferring the file to your PC ? Just a long shot.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Really strange - I did have to reassign the macro, after that it added donkeys (above horses for some reason) and then I added 'mice' to the control tab and pushed the button but it wont add them for me - not sure if it will for you - reattached below
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Hello
I cannot reproduce what you wrote above.
All tests with donkeys and mice work fine.
Can you test again please ?
I used the file that you added in the last attachment.
Please see pictures.

Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
I have tried rebuilding it using your code and name ranges and nothing happens at all, thinking that maybe this cant be done.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
I have tried again - nothing happened at all, I am wondering if the error message is something to do with it - I have attached a picture of it - I'm working in 2016 if that makes any difference, but new SKUs will not copy over to output.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
I use Office 365 so the last Excel 2016 too.
I cannot reproduce this error message at all.
Moreover, the code uses only standard commands, no fancy or unusual things in there.
I will google for the error message.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Google does not give me clues on this.
Do you have Excel 2013 or Excel 2010 to test ?
Can you put certain lines of code in comments, to know which line gives you the error message ?
Alternatively, use F8 to step through the code, line by line.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
I only have 2016 I'm afraid - I have used F8 and cant find anything but I get the error message every time I open the file and I think that is killing it.
If we have reached an impasse I feel bad because I know you have tried - I could offer you 50% (£15) as a good will gesture, unless you have any further ideas - I fear we may have run out.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
I can offer a TeamViewer session tomorrow. I have holidays.
Please download TeamViewer (it's free) and then I can have remote access to your pc.
We will see when the session suits us both tomorrow.
If I can't fix it then we will see what we can do.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
@ Wigi
I recently came across a conflict between Office 365 and Office 2016 64 Bit. I had written code for a massive project for a client who uses Windows 10 64 Bit and Office 365, I wrote it using Windows 10 64 Bit and Office 2016 (Ido not have 365). Everything had been working perfectly for over a year until the latest Office 365 update a couple of months ago, then errors occurred (not bugs, just errors in the code returns). A few tweaks to the code and all was well again.
However, thinking you may have come across the same issue, I tried testing with your version 1.2 file using various versions of Windows and Office (I use Linux as my main OS and have numerous virtual machines with different combinations of Windows and Office versions). I never got an error message and the code appeared to work perfectly every time.
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
FWIW, I tested on both Office Pro Plus 2013 and MS Office 365 Pro Plus and did not notice any macro issues and was able to add a new SKU just fine, and "overtype" the data on a newly added row. No issues seen.
That was using the code from "1.2" in post #26 above
I had to enable Macros at the prompt and also a Enable Content at a second prompt.
Regards
Ger
Re: Table Creation - £30 gbp
Thank you both for testing.
I offered a TeamViewer session where we cleared out the issues.
The error message was there because the file was opened (run) from the forum. That is, click an uploaded file, and run it straight from there. Not "Save As" the file to the PC and start from there.
After Save As the error message is gone.
The functional issue was a misunderstanding. The idea is that the code, when creating additional records on the output sheet, looks at the selection on the control sheet.
The user can select 1 or more SKU's for which the code will create records. I now notice that I did not mention this in my explanations in this topic, so the user could not know this.
When we did that, everything works fine.
Funds were sent and received, thanks.
After testing this first part in detail, I will also provide the code for "NEW CHANNEL", similar to "NEW SKU".
