Hi,
I'm currently doing a school project of defect detection and I'm stuck to use Excel Solver to solve my resources allocation problem.
Given that :
- There are 3 staff working 25hr/week
- There are 2 roles 3 staffs can play (Detector or Solver)
- There 4 types of defect: Hard, easy, major, minor (Each hard defect takes 5 hours to fix Each easy defect takes 2 hours to fix, the major ones are 7 times damaging than the minor ones)
- There are 20 weeks
I'm not sure how to construct the table (please see the image) and run the Solver in this case, is it possible tho to find out what should be the best way to allocate 3 staffs, 2 fixing and 1 detecting or 1 fixing and 2 detecting and so on, what would be the best optimal way for this?
