How di I create two passwords for one file

Hi everybody,

Hopefully this is an easy one, but i can't figure it out. I need to password protect files, but i need two passwords for each file, one that is a master and one specific to the file. Excel only lets me put in one password under the "Save As", "Tools" menu, when i have fooled around with this in vba i can't get it to set two passwords so that either one of them can open the file. Any ideas?

I have thought about that, but i think there are some additional security issues if i did this. For instance a user could turn off the macros, or use VBA to show hidden sheets. etc... I need to keep the Macro security at medium. However I think i will end up doing like you said, so thanks for the tip
