When I try to insert an AutoCAD .dwg file into an Excell or MS Word file it looks good on the screen, but it does not print correctly.
The drawing is is very light. Any ideas?
Hi John and welcome to the board
I have no experience with AutoCad drawing but would like to give it a try.
Do You have the same situation when You paste, for instance,a GIF och JPEG-picture, and then printed it out?
Please mail back and please also feel free to upload an AutoCad-image if it not is to big.
No I have not tried with a jpg
I have attached the Excell file
And the Excell file with the object inserted
And the ACAD file, but you might not be able to view it
Re: Inserting an AutoCAD Drawing into an Excel or MS Word file
first export autocad file into metafile and than open excel and insert>picture; give the path of that meta file you have exported.
And you are done.
Copy the drawing in auto cad and Past special as bitmap in excel
