User has numbers for Column Heads as well as Rows.

I have a user, and I havn't seen this in person, but he claims that instead of Letters across the top, like A B C D..., he has numbers for each column. He also has numbers, as they should be, for the rows.

Any idea how to switch it back to letters for column heads?
