I have constructed a reasonably large financial model in Excel 2000. I have noticed that when I change basic formula inputs the results do not flow through to the dependant formulae. If I drag and copy the dependent formulae they seem to refresh, but this is causing a nightmare. Can anybody help with this?
Recalculation problem

Hi EP
Sounds like you do not have Calculation in Auto? Tools>Options>Calculations

Thanks Dave, but I should have mentioned that I did check that recalculation was on auto.

I had the same problem when I was running Excel 2000 on Home XP. Couldn't find anyone else with the same problem but found it dissappeared when I upgraded to Office XP. Expensive though. Sorry can't be of more help.

Hi EP
Try this link
XL2000: Inconsistent Results Using Natural Language Formulas
Also, try closing Excel completely then go to Start>Run and type in: excel /regserver Note the space after "excel"
This Forces Excel to register itself and then quit. Use this switch when you want Excel to rewrite all of its registry keys and reassociate itself with Excel files, such as workbooks, charts, and so on.

Thanks Dave. The suggestions in the hyperlinked document worked.
