Startup Task Pane in Word 2002

I have set to Show the Taskpane at startup of Word (Options|View|Show) but the taskpane isn't shown at startup. Why?
It works fine in Excel or Access

Thanks, I found the answer: the ....STARTUP folder for word wasn't empty.
