Text in UserForm TextBox not Showing

Hello Forum, Been a while

Why is it that when I have a form with a button which opens another form
Sometimes it shows the word in the box and other times it doesn't?
Is XL getting picky or something?

Code

Deviations.Show
Deviations.DevBox.Text = "Absent"

I know that I could have it as the Userform initialize in the Deviations form but this is one of a few words that I would want in the Dev box and I want to save space by using one form for multipurposes
Hope you know what I mean..

As for your question. How is the code your show run? Is there any other code in the same Procedure?

Userform Textbox display issue

Hiya Dave!!,
Great to hear from you !!
Sorry about the Title,

there are two forms, one called Attendance and the other called Deviations.

on the Attendance form there are 3 Buttons,
1,Absent
2,Tardy
3,Left Early
Each of these buttons, when Clicked Show the form (Deviations.Show)
Which has nothing to initialize.
As shown

Deviations.Show
Deviations.DevBox.Text = "Left Early"
End Sub

Deviations.DevBox.Text = "Tardy"
End Sub

When the Deviations Form Shows, the DevBox sometimes it shows the "Absent" or "Tardy" etc, But sometimes it's blank, Closing the form and pressing the button again fixes it. Nothing is reporting as wrong.. But it seems to be hit and miss..

Great! You will find that your code was never reaching the Deviations.DevBox.Text line as it would stay on Deviations.Show. You probaly saw it sometimes, after hiding, but not Unloading your Deviations UserForm.
