Hi,
I run Office 2000 on Windows98 at home. Suddenly, out of the blue, when I start Excel, the Excel name splash window comes up and stays displayed with the hour glass curser displayed. The only way to get control of the system back is to Control/Alt/Delete and stop the Excel procedure. I then get a Windows98 “Critical Memory” message, but I know I have not used all the memory. After this happens any program I start does the same thing.
If I don’t start Excel I can muli-task other Office 2000 programs and other programs with no problem. But as soon as I start Excel the system hangs.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000, no help.
Hope someone can help with this one.
Bill
