Have you merged any cells by any chance?
-
no it says the copy and paste area are not the same size, than says click a single cell, then paste, but does not work, or select a rectangle thats the same size, not sure how to do that one.
come on denis, i thought you would have sorted this by now lol

Bruno,
what range are you copying ?
and where are you clicking and highlighting before you try to paste ?
ie :
copy range A1:B40
select range C50:C52, pastebe specific if you're slecting entire rows or entire columns

can we just check Denis's suggestion ?
select rows 7826 to 65,536
right click inside the highlighted range
format cells
alignmentis "merge cells" totally blank ?
it should be clear - no tick, and no murky grey tick
this will check your destination range for merged cells... lets now check your scource range :
highlight A1 to A4395
right click inside the highlighted range
format cells
alignmentis "merge cells" totally blank ?
it should be clear - no tick, and no murky grey tick
if that's all okay, your procedure should be as follows :
highlight A1 to A4395
rightclick inside the highlighted range
copygo to destination page
right click A7826
paste -
Is a "tick" like a "check mark"?
Don't answer, couldn't resist. :bouncy:

Same situation you had yesterday when we spoke like I told you extremely common, this one, same scenario, same fix, works well if seems a little bizzar.
Good you understand this concept and spread the good. I hope this is the case here and all has been fix now, we wait and see but ill add to this feeds richness.
Cheers for that Chris
Jack
BTW The only concern would be to save the wkbk as duplicate and practice first, then try on original, auto save or back ups running all sorts can trash this fix and you can not undo, as we found yesterday, but your remember my first questions as I explained.
Save as duplicate wkbk
Close original
Check only duplicate open in window menu barNOW can I trash your work, I might loose all of it is this OK< you have copy taken
Let’s have fun – just a precaution, and one never to forget. Jack learnt this the VERY hard way. I have lost more work that I have ever produced!
-
just to let you know, i sorted my problem, i had to copy about 50 entries first, then the rest went in ok.
thanks again to all that helped on this subject.
goes to show what a brill forum this is
