Multiple Sessions of Word/Excel

When in Excel or Word 2002, everytime I open a mutliple documents, it opens another session of Word and Excel. Is there anyway to change this so there is one session of each program open?

Yes, You can do it with the following setting:

In XL/Word:
Tools | Option | Tab View | Uncheck Windows in the taskbar.
