[Solved] creating fields in word 97

Hello,
I would like to know what is the easiest way to create a (book citation) in Word 97 using fields.
It needs to have Authors last,first name.
City where published and the publisher and the copyright date.
Does anyone know If there is a template online I could download/
Its for my students to help keep track of their book references.

If you are trying to create a nice looking Word document of the citations and are familiar with Excel and its built-in Visual Basic capabilites, the attached spreadsheet may help get you started. It creates a formated Word document of auction items (for a church auction -- sorry guys nothing exciting) from data entered into adjacent columns in Excel. (Donor names changed to generic for privacy reasons.) The text boxes on the first sheet control the macros. F11 will open the VBA editor so you can see the code. It does a bit more than you need (the final conditional formating you won't) need, but it gives you a feel for how to create a Word doc from Excel and how to format the Word output.

Point of clarification: RoyUK's post triggered me to look at the file properties and I see that it says John Walkenbach. I'm a bit confesed by this. I have John Walkenbach's book and also have his power pack loaded on my machine. (And they are both great.) But I thought I'd developed the attached file on my own. Probably I started working from one of John's examples and modified for so long I'd forgotten where I'd started from. Anyway, my apologies to John. But also, don't try to find this particular file among John's things, because it doesn't exist there in any form that resembles what you see here.
