Saving: Saving takes time

    Hi,
    I have a workbook 500kB and it takes a certain time before it is saved. This workbook will also be used by people using a pentiumII. So it takes probably double the time.
    Is it possible to add a progress bar when the workbook is saved so that the people don't have to panic when it takes some time and how can I do that?

    I don't believe it is possible to use vba code to create you own useful progressbar.
    As Excel does not raise any events whilst it is saving. So the best you could do would be to display a start and finish point. Not the progress inbetween.


    If you display the statusbar though Excel , at least for my version XL2000, has its own progress bar displayed, including the filename.
