Here is what I need. I need to have a combo box or something that will allow me to have three options to select from and then have that selection go into the cell I have selected. Best option would be to have each cell have its own combobox but I am not having any success with that. If this can't be done can anybody at least reply to tell me that.

This could be done, but using a lot of combo boxes would make your file VERY large. Maybe try something like the attached example.
This was done using a validation list. select cell A2 on 'Sheet1', then click Data>Validation. You will see I've created a validation rule that forces the user to select from a list of values.
The list of values comes from a named range on the "lists" tab.
The named range is dynamic so as the list grows or shrinks, the range updates itself. To see how this works, go to Insert>Names>Define and then select the OptionGroup1 named range. It makes use of the offset function.
