'Fill Series' is not working if my data is filter

Hello,

This maybe an Excel limitation ?? but I just want to confirm:

If I filter my data and then try to use the 'Fill Series" for my column named 'Serial #', the context menu displays the 'Fill Series' option in a disbaled/dimmed mode. Is there are workaround so that I can use the feature even if my data is filtered?

Filtering just hides the unwanted rows, so Fill cannot work

It wouldn't be hard to write a macro to emulate Fill. I suspect Excel's version is dimmed because there would be two ways to interpret a fill request. Do every row, or do only the visible rows. Since you know what you want, why not write the macro for your particular situation?
