Looking for a formula for a 3 tier and 4 tier zero based commission structure.
Zero Based Commission Formula

Re: Zero Based Commission Formula
Two schemes, one looks as if the whole amount is based on one commission rate, depending on the amount, the other uses slices. Need to know where the output goes, and do you just want the end results, or what?

Re: Zero Based Commission Formula
Thanks Cringe2.
What I am looking for is a zero based calculation tool to demonstrate output.
I want to able to put any amount into the net services cell and have the correct answer come out in the top cell directly under Breakout.
for example in set #1: If an employee earned 1600.00 and the scale was setup as such 0-1500 then they would get 40% of any amount less then 1500.
0-2000 then they would get 45% of any amount less then 2000, etc.
Thanks from a grateful yank!

This may be where I'm losing you. What does "zero-based" mean?

But above 1500, right? This is what I mean by slices, either within the formulas, so that only the total comes out, or separate amounts for each band and then totalled.
Now do you want the formulas hard-coded with the bands, or picked up from cells somewhere? If hard-coded, no problem.
Sorry to ask so much, but I'd like to get it right first go.

Re: Zero Based Commission Formula
Yeah, what Cringe said. There appears to be some information missing as to how you intend to determine which band is "setup".
