i have a very long list and many of the numbers show up more then once. i want ecxel to return only 1 of the items if it shows up. for example.
column a reads 1,2,3,4,4,4,5,1,1,6,7 i want column b to read 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. please help.

i dont want to hide rows which is what advacnced filter does. i want to return them in a different row.

Re-read Roy's suggestion. He is suggesting that you use an advanced filter, not the auto filter and that you return a unique list to a different location. That should get you what you want.

No, it can copy to another location as well. You might at least try something before rejecting it.
