Adding Text To A Cell Without Resizing

    In Excel I need to write long detailed notes into one cell, but I don't want it to wrap around and make the cell, row or column get bigger. I want it to only show the first few words, or last words in the cell and hide the rest after I am done typing in it. I also do not wish to use the add a note option. Thanks!

    If you just type in the cell and format as general, it won;t change the cell size. Any excess will spill into the next column, unless there is something occupying that cell.


    If you are currently having the text wrap, I suggest you check the format before entering your text.
