  • Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if it's possible to do the following using Pivot tables. I have month period from 1-1-2006 until today by month. Is it possible to have in the pivot table a field that shows the total of 2006 and then another field that shows the total of 2007? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you

Well, there's two ways of doing this.

    1) You can create a new column named Year. And then copy and paste 2006 down 2006's numbers... then copy and paste 2007 down 2007 numbers. Your pivot table will allow you to select them individual or together and give you totals.

    2) Using multiple consolidate ranges... This is a little tougher to explain but if that's the only thing you can do, I will show you.

    Let me know.

Right click in the Pivot Table, select Group and Show Detail, then select group. You should then be able to select to group by year.
