Vlookup With No Value

I need a formula that will lookup a value that might not always be there. If the value is not there i want it to return nothing instead of #n/a. any ideas?
Basically i have a master list that i want to pull information from individual lists that might not have the value on the master list.

Try

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(Value,Array,Column))," ",VLOOKUP(Value,Array,Column))

Are you using vlookup up formula do you have so far?

While you can use a method like that first suggested, try a method posted here for a more efficient means.
