  • Hi all,

The summary measure for my data field buttons my pivot table wizard is defaulted to count instead of sum.

How do I change the default back to sum.

    Thank you!
    Jason

  • Re: Pivot Table Summary Measure Default?

    Thanks for the rely Biz,

However, I'm interested to change the DEFAULT setting for the summary measure.

So when I activate the wizard, the default summary measure is sum and not count.

    Thanks again,
    Jason

  • Change Defaults For Pivot Table Summary

    Hi All,

Apologies but this question of mine was not answered...so here it is again...

When I open my Pivot Table Wizard, the DEFAULT for the summary measures in the data area is set to SUM.

How do I change the DEFAULT to COUNT so whenever I use the wizard, COUNT instead of SUM appears for my summary measures.

    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hi Biz,

Thanks for your answer again, I have tried it but when I go into the wizard again, the summary measures are still defaulted as SUM.

    Regards,
    Jason

    To Change Default to Count
    1)Double click "Sum"
    2) Select "Count"
    3) Click "OK"

Try saving your worksheet. The above steps should work because I have done this so many times before. If it still does not work then I would suggest please post your sample workbook.
