Hey All,
Can those wonderful labels that appear on reducing a SS below 40% be turned off?

Try changing to page break preview in the view menu. It could be the lesser of two evils.

Neale,
Unfortunately not! But thanx for the input.

What wonderful labels??
Chris
"Varium et mutabile semper Excel"
Chris,
Place some named ranges in a worksheet and then reduce the spreadsheet to 39%.
You will find the named ranges have a black border with light blue writing stating the name of the named range.

Ah, Gotcha!
Hmm... Only works when the text is too tiny to read. Whyja wanna shrink it so small? It just makes my eyes water!

Pesky,
That is an annoying little quirk you've pointed out. I don't know if your sheet will allow for this, but . . .
When I opened a sheet of mine with numerous named ranges in it, I reduced the zoom to 39% per your instructions and saw all of the nice range names except for the dynamic named ranges I had in my sheet.
Perhaps you could use dynamic name "technology" on static ranges to work around the label feature.

Not so much Excel fix, but these are common areas i get . Try:
Copy the open window [CRTL+Print Screen
Open Paint
Paste in Paint
Cut the section [in correct size you want]
Re Paste in Paint
Save as JPG
And import to Excel
Now treat as am image as you say you want image map, Remember Excel is handy with images in VBA of cause.
Any good or state the obvious?
Jack
Brandtrock,
Good solution! In end i resized all the cells so the full image fitted on the screen at exactly 40% but good to know what you discovered - Thx
JITUK,
What my project involves is having different cell events triggered when the user clicks on the correct part of an image map. I am not sure if that can be done using pictures, but it works a treat with seperate cells. Just very fiddly at design time as the image map is made up of over 250 individual cells.
Thanx for the interest.
