mine was similar..... "Chris woz ere" all over the screen : I remember it because we sneeked out of school at lunchtime to watch the first ever space shuttle launch or something on the TVs in Dixons and they had these "computers" you could actually touch !
Oh, and the saleslady looked like Sharron Davies

I'm curious if anyone else still keeps a slide rule at their desk (and uses it occasionally). (Actually I have two, my good 10" and the handy 5 pocket one I occasionally carry to meetings.)
If nothing else, the slide bar still makes a great straight edge.

No, I keep my "museum" in the garage since my wife show no mercy...
BTW, You all contribute to my health and I feel good when reading Your memories:wink1:
Kind regards,

I used it that way for many years!!
But since my wife and I have moved 27 times in 33 years of marriage, we have tended to reduce our "holdings"!
Actually I had one until I went to seminary in 1982, and then kept the other one until 1999, when we had a house fire and lost most of our personal/family heritage stuff.
But at least I saved my hand-made :music: !!!

Started out in Staines Berks thirty years ago with fortran, punch cards a Cyber 7000 beast. Working at 1 2 and 3 in the morning because there was a reduced rate for access and processing time at those hours. Lived on coffee, takeaways from the curry house opposite the police station and large servings of "The Who" "Queen" and "Pink Floyd".
Now reduced to ever increasing frequency of "senior moments" dyslexic fingers and the blue screen of death.
Once we were in the clouds.
