    I think that function is under Insert -> Hyperlink. Then look for "Place in this document". is that what you are asking?

    Out of these 'other cells' in the worksheet, what is the deciding factor of which cell to use to create the hyperlink in A2?

    basically in coulmn b is the file path and in column c is the file name. so i want to combine these and form a hyperlink in column a
