    Don't be fooled you guys....


    Dave actually hires a small brainless dwarf to edit unintelligible thread titles whom he pays in obsolete Australian Pounds that Raina forgot she had hidden under a bed as a three year old.


    The rest of his post count is made up of automated RSS feed postings, mostly from other people's good ideas. In fact it's true that Dave only wrote 9 of the 100 Excel hacks, the other 91 being cobbled together by the dwarf and Andy Pope...


    So Raina thinks he is at home working whan actually it's the Dwarf she can hear tapping away whilst Dave's down the local boozer three sheets to the wind laughing his ass off...

    This is a great resource for everyone who uses, works with, or plays around with Excel. All user levels can find content suitable to their level of knowledge and abilities. Dave's vision for OzGrid and the many ways it assists the Excel community was grand and he exceeded his own expectations. Of course, a key component in being able to build this place was to get enough quality helpers (dwarves, elves, halflings, whatever...) to make the forum the best place to get an answer on Excel.


    If Dave wasn't the kind of person he is, there is little chance that he could get the quality individuals that he has assisting him to stick around and do the work they do.


    Congratulations on the quantity but more so on the quality of the posts you have provided Dave. Keep up the good work!!

    I thought that we'd established previously that there is actually more than one Dave Hawley - how could any one person possibly make this many posts? There are, in fact, numerous Dave Hawleys scattered around the world in different timezones, each logs in for a while, makes some posts / amends some thread titles, and then passes the forum batton on to the next Dave.


    (Its even been rumoured that the 4 Daves in the former Soviet Union can actually log-in in relay style - each correcting a thread title and answering an Excel question before logging-out again - faster than the USA 4x100 metres mens relay team can finish a race. The Americans hotly dispute this runour and have even gone so far as to suggest that the Soviet Daves use performance-enhancing keyboards. The Soviet Daves have added fuel to this fire by refusing to take a post-race keyboard test.)

    Truth be know, RSS feeds (Will's site too) and rule violation do account for about 25% of the total.
