Pasted European Date Format Coverting To US Format

Hi

I have a problem where i am just trying to do a simple copy of dates from one spreadsheet to another

18/03/2008 00:00 however when the its copied to the other spreassheet is changes to the US date formate 3/18/2008 0:00 I need to keep the format as date as the date needs to be the current day. How do i get this to remain UK

Use the Cells Format either choose DATE or Custom find one in custom that displays dd/mm/yyyy or simply add that to custom.

The copy is writtern and executed from a marco so i have no control over the convert. I need the copy in the marco to run without the conversion

By default, a straight use of the Copy Method OR copy/PasteSpecial will copy the date AND the cells format.

Hi

After doing further research on this if you do not add the Local:= True option when you save files the format of the date will always revert to US date format. Thanks for you help guys. Assistance is very apreciated

You said you were copying them and as such, the date format will NOT change.
