Save entire workbook as web page without interactivity but with autorepublish

  • Hi. We have a shared workbook which is accessed by a group of 10-12 users for editing, and can be saved numerous times throughout the day.

We want to be able for everyone (up to 100 users) to see this read-only, so we were looking at saving it as a web page without interactivity. Due to the number of updates and saves throughout the day, we would want it to republish each time it was updated/saved, so that everyone could see the latest version on refreshing the web page.

I'm using Excel 2003, and cannot find a way to save as a web page WITHOUT interactivity but WITH autorepublish. Is this possible?

If not, are there alternative methods of achieving what we're after? Would it be better to allow everyone access to the workbook, but to password-protect it for editing?

    Thank you, Steve.

Hi Junho. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately that didn't help. Following those steps allowed me to save with autorepublish, but not the whole workbook.

I haven't been able to find a way to save an ENTIRE WORKBOOK (ie several sheets) WITHOUT interactivity but WITH autorepublish.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd be really grateful.

My understanding is that Autorepublish is for the whole Workbook when it is saved. The Autorepublish is part of the Save process after you have set it up to Publish. If it is not republishing when you save then it suggests something may be wrong with how the Publish has been set up or with Excel's access permissions to the web-page.
